Important Information

Speed Networking Lock Out Policy

This policy is designed to ensure the maximum return on your investment and to ensure you receive the maximum number of opportunities whilst attending our Speed Networking sessions. We maintain the Lock Out to give you exclusivity for your line of work during the session. Imagine for a moment, a room full of businesses and none of your competitors to dilute your message!

This may mean that we will be unable to accept your booking. For events using this policy, only telephone bookings will be accepted with a valid card payment at that time.

Based on 3 simple points this policy has been formulated to be easy to use and understand.

  1. Customer Feedback - It is what our clients want.
  2. Collated research from business to business networking events.
  3. Ensuring the best experience for our customers.

How it works.

It is very straight forward with only ONE Tinker, Tailor, Soldier or Sailor being able to attend each session.  To avoid any potential crossover on services during the session we take things a little further still by categorising professions. At the time of booking we will establish your services and those that you wish to promote. Terms & Conditions apply, see the foot of this page for details.

Here are a few examples.

Accountants, if they also offer book keeping services then we will not allow any Bookkeepers to attend. In practice one will normally preclude the other.

Business Advisors - See Coaching below (From February 2012)

Coaching - Personal, life, Business or Time.  We class all forms of coaching/advice as one area to avoid cross over where one coach deems themselves to be a personal or life coach when we have another booked (From February 2012)

Multi Level Marketing (MLM)Regardless of product or market place, we class all (MLM) businesses as one. Feedback from our attendees has necessitated this addition. Added 11th April 2011. We will ask you at the point of booking for your business status, failure to reveal your actual position will be treated in line with our standard terms and conditions.

Online Services – Here we have a multitude of disciplines to cover. Hosting, Marketing, V-marketing, Web Design and Development, plus many more. We will use the services offered by each company to maintain the exclusive proposition for any subsequent bookings.

Solicitors, regardless of their professional disciplines we class them all as one. This avoids any confusion over commercial, family law, private, notaries and so on.

Social Media - Where a company offers single or multiple services the first company booked will take precedence.  For example, if we have a booking for a Twitter only expert and a subsequent enquiry from a company that offers Twitter as part of a range of services, they will be locked out and not able to attend that session.

Telecommunications, our experience has shown that a majority of these companies offer a complete range of land lines, Voip and Mobile solutions. Once again we will class these in one category.

Virtual PA’s and Secretarial Services. Classed as one.

More examples will be added as required.

Terms & Conditions.

By booking and making payment to attend our Lock Out sessions you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions in full.

Due to the nature of our lock out policy we can only accept bookings with full payment. This is to ensure that we “Lock Out” your occupation, as such our service will begin at the point of booking. Your booking will mean that we cannot resell your seat or occupation for that event, therefore we will not offer a refund at any point for an event which operates our “Lock Out” policy.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure the above policy is adhered to by our clients we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information provided to Sussex Business Bureau.

We reserve the right to refuse your booking in line with the standards set out in the policy.

No refunds will be offered in any circumstances.

At the time of booking you will be asked to provide an accurate statement of your chosen category/categories.

We will visit the website of each company to validate the categories chosen.  We will use this information for any further bookings.

You may not select a category which is not represented on your literature or website.

Should you fail to adequately disclose the nature of your business and such an issue arises during a session we reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point with no recourse.

The management reserves the right to refuse multiple category choices.
