A personal biography of your Icon Business Solutions adviser Gary Maskell

Gary has over 20 years experience gaining an in depth understanding from grass roots to top levels of business. He has experience in Operations, marketing, sales, HR and Finance gained from the successful day to day running of several businesses. In his 7 years with Icon Gary has developed a proven track record in supporting business owners to achieve their goals.

As an adviser he has worked with over 100 businesses in 72 different industries and has amassed a vast knowledge base of what makes businesses tick. In addition Gary has practiced what he preaches and has successfully grown his own business and can proudly boast he owns the largest and fastest growing business advice consultancy in Sussex.

Active in the community Gary Chairs the local chamber of commerce and was awarded ‘Business Person of the year in 2009’ an award which with his customary modesty can be found hidden away at the back of his office.

Prior to joining Icon Gary was heavily involved with the running of several businesses both as an owner and a board member all at independent business owner level and it was this empathy with the day today pressures of cash flow, managing people and working excessive hours which made becoming a business adviser so appealing.

In addition to the above and with true entrepreneurial foresight Gary and his wife have developed a small property portfolio which whilst lacking a golf course does provide him with a long term goal. He has two small children who occupy a majority of his spare time but also enjoys reading and reducing his golf handicap
